Boy found dead in school bus after being left there for entire day

Police are investigating a preschooler's death after the child was found unresponsive in a school bus on Thursday.

Reports say Isaiah Hazel was picked up from his home by a bus driver to be taken to the Morning Star Early Childhood Centre in California, Couva.

The bus driver returned home and parked the vehicle. However, she did not notice that the child remained inside after seemingly falling asleep.

Later that evening, the child was found unresponsive lying on the floor.

The child was taken to the Couva Health Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

This is the third such incident to occur this week as a toddler was crushed by a dump truck on Wednesday. Meanwhile, on Monday, a 4-year-old boy was found unresponsive at a children's home in Sangre Grande.
