BPTT assures staff's safety following massive 'quake

BPTT confirms that all staff are safe and accounted for following the earthquake which wreaked havoc across Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday.

In a statement issued shortly after the incident, the global oil giant said its building was affected by the quake and that damage is being assessed.

It said in line with the BPTT crisis response protocols, the Incident Management Team has been activated.

"Our primary focus at this time is ensuring the continued safety and security of all staff and contractors. At this time, no staff, contractors or members of the public will be able to access the building or basements until further notice."

Staff are advised to stay tuned to internal communication systems as well as traditional and official BPTT social media channels for official updates.
