Bread vendor shot in Pleasantville

A bread vendor in Pleasantville has been shot in his knee following a robbery on Friday night. 

According to reports Naylan Farrell, a salesman with Coelho Bakery,  was at Pleasantville Circular opposite the Village Plaza, when two men, one armed with a firearm, approached him and announced a hold-up.

The suspects robbed Farrell of $200 and he resisted.

One of the men opened fire on him and he ran for safety.

The victim was shot twice in the right knee.

The incident occurred around 7.30 pm.

Farrell was taken to hospital where he remains warded in a stable condition.
