Bullet-riddled body found in car in Barrackpore

The bullet-riddled body of a man was found on Saturday morning in Barrackpore.

The deceased has yet to be identified, however, his body was found in the driver's seat of a purple Nissan B14 motor vehicle around 8 am today.

According to police reports, residents of Cipero Road, Borde Narve Village, heard several loud explosions and upon investigating, they found a man bleeding from multiple gunshot injuries.

The police were immediately notified, but the victim succumbed to his injuries before the arrival of emergency health services.

Based on information received, police believe the deceased to be a 38-year-old man from Ste Madeleine. The body has yet to be viewed by relatives to confirm this.
