Burglars break into bakery, steal charity money

Police are investigating after unknown intruders allegedly broke into Linda's Bakery in Carenage and took several items, even the money from a can intended for charity. 

According to reports, officers from the Four Roads Police Station are investigating the incident which occurred at Linda’s Bakery in Carenage on Sunday.

Police said around 2:30 pm on Sunday, a sales clerk at the bakery, located along Sunset Apartments, Glencoe, Carenage, secured the building and went away.

However around 5:30 am on Monday, she returned to work and observed the glass on the northern side of the bakery had been smashed.

A check was made inside and several items were discovered to be missing, including a charity can with an undisclosed amount of money.

PC Seecharan is continuing inquiries.
