Police investigating burglary at La Brea school

Police are investigating a report of a robbery at a secondary school in La Brea.

Police were told that the principal of the Vessigny Secondary School, which is located along the Southern Main Road, of Vessigny Village, secured the school last Friday.

However, upon returning to the school on Monday, she observed that her office, which is located on the upper floor, had been broken into and was ransacked.

Checks revealed $5,000 in cash was missing from a filing cabinet.

Investigators also observed a hole in the on the roof on the southern side of the building, where the bandits probably gained access. It is thought that the thieves exited via this same hole. 

The police were notified and PC Mungal is continuing inquiries.
