Businessman fatally shoots bandit at Palmyra home

Police are currently investigating another report in which a “bandit” was shot dead.

This time, the incident took place Wednesday morning at a supermarket in the Palmyra community in Princes Town.

From initial reports, the incident took place around 3 am today.

Police were still on the scene up to 7 am.

The owner told investigators he was awakened by a loud noise and heard several voices outside his bedroom door.

He secured his licensed firearm and when he was confronted by the group who appeared to be armed, he opened fire.

One man was hit, and the others – suspected to be two men – fled the scene.

The ‘bandit’ died on location.

The deceased allegedly dropped a weapon, which has since been seized by police.
