Businessman shot in Tobago

A 34-year-old man is nursing gunshot injuries following a shooting incident in New Grange, Tobago yesterday.

The victim has been identified as Kevin Henry of Blue Heron Drive, New Grange.

Henry, police said, is the manager of the Jade Monkey Bar and Grill in Crown Point.

The 34-year-old told police that at about 3.30 am on Saturday, he arrived at his home when he was approached by a gunman.

The man began to speak, however, his weapon went off, and Henry was shot in both legs.

The suspect then fled the scene.

Residents of the area on hearing the explosions notified the police and paramedics, and Henry was rushed to the Scarborough General Hospital. 

Shirvan Road Police are continuing inquiries.
