Businessman's son charged with sex crime against minor
A 26-year-old man whose father owns a wrecking company that works with police is now engaged in legal battle with the state after he was charged with a sex crime against a minor.
Ishwar Indoi of Guaico, Sangre Grande, was charged with sexual penetration of a 14-year-old girl under the Children's Act, section 18.
Sources told Loop TT that the incident is alleged to have occurred in 2017. The girl is now 15.
According to reports, during the period Feb 28 to April 1, 2017, the teen had an altercation with her mother and ran away from home. She then began living with the accused for a short time.
The sex act allegedly occurred at a beach in Manzanilla.
Indoi appeared before a Sangre Grande Magistrate on June 4, 2018.
