CAL increases capacity to support hike in inter-island travel

Caribbean Airlines (CAL) is advising members of the public that it has opted to increase capacity on the airbridge between February 7 and 14 to support the hike in inter-island travellers.
CAL, in a statement issued on Thursday night, said it took the decision to support inter-island travellers as the current sea conditions has created challenges on the sea bridge.
The airline added that it is working closely with the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (PATT) and priority will be given to passengers disrupted by the ferry cancellations. According to CAL, processes are in place to accommodate these passengers.
In addition to its current schedule of 20,444 seats, the airline will increase capacity by 4,720 seats for the period as follows:
Yesterday, the Port Authority announced the withdrawal of the T&T Express to secure the safety of passengers, vehicles and crew.
