The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in the company of Caribbean royalty when they spent a few days in the island of Mustique for their vacation.

While attending the 50th anniversary of the Mustique Company, a consortium of residents who run the private island that forms part of St Vincent and the Grenadines,  Prince William and Kate were entertained by the Queen of Calypso, Calypso Rose.

The Tobago-born calypsonian and Rolling Stone touring keyboard player Matt Clifford and his band were the entertainment for the night.

UK's celeb mag Hello featured the event, the dress code for which was a splash of gold.

The event was held at the famous Basil's Bar.

Calypso Rose, real name, McCartha Linda Sandy-Lewis, has been enjoying a resurgent career since releasing her latest album 'Far From Home' in May 2016. The album won her a Victoire de la Musique award in France for World Album of the Year.
