Car found burnt; family of missing Carapo woman pleads for info

The family of missing Carapo woman Coreen Singh is today renewing its pleas to the public to come forward with any information they may have on the woman’s whereabouts after Singh's vehicle was discovered burned in Caroni early on Monday morning.

As a result of their appeals on social media, Singh’s relatives received a call that a vehicle had been seen burning in the Caroni area on Saturday night.

When relatives visited the area, they found a burnt-out car that matched the description of Singh’s vehicle.

Singh’s relatives said they made a report to the St Joseph Police Station, but patrol officers who subsequently visited the scene denied that the car matched the description of the vehicle.

The woman’s family members said they returned to the vehicle and photographed the chassis number of the vehicle, and matched it to the chassis number on the vehicle's certified copy.

The public is urgently being asked to share any information they might have on Singh's whereabouts.

Singh, from Carapo, told relatives she was going to the mall around 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 3, but has not been seen nor heard from since.

Singh was driving her car, a white Nissan Tiida, license plate PDM 1393.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact 555, 999, or 800-TIPS as soon as possible.
