Cardi B cancels tour with Bruno Mars to focus on baby
Cardi B is now getting the hang of motherhood.
The Bodak Yellow rapper has postponed her Fall tour with Bruno Mars to focus on her newborn and recover from her recent childbirth.
In a note to her fans, Cardi B said she thought would have been able to rejoin Mars on tour six weeks after she gave birth but can't.
"As of today, I've decided I won't be joining Bruno on tour this Fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would have been enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought I would be able to bring her with me on tour but I underestimated this whole mommy thing," she said.
"Not only am I not physically ready, I am not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it is not healthy for her to be on the road. I hope you guys understand that this decision has been hardest to make but I have to do what's best for myself and my baby."
Cardi B gave birth to her daughter Kulture on July 10. Her middle name Kiari is after her dad Offset Migos whose real name is Kiari Cephus.
In response to Cardi B's message to her fans, Bruno Mars posted on IG that they will play Bodak Yellow every night in her honour during the 24K Magic tour.
"Most important thing is you and your family's health. I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing. I also know we will share the stage when the time is right," he said.
