Carenage couple held with stolen mobile phones

A Carenage couple was detained for questioning by police officers after they were allegedly held with a number of mobile phones which had been reported stolen.

The couple, who are both 28, was held on Monday morning at their home by officers of the Northern Division Special Investigations Unit, which is spearheaded by Inspector Robert Joseph.

The lawmen have been conducting inquiries into a robbery at a cellular store in their district which occurred on June 20.

This morning, the officers acted on intelligence received and executed a search warrant at the couple's home in their presence.

During a search of the premises, several of the stolen items were found.

As a result, the couple was detained to be further questioned.
