Catholic Archdiocese mourns passing of 83-year-old Priest

The Catholic Archdiocese of Trinidad and Tobago is mourning the loss of Father Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Mohammed.
Father Mohammed passed away peacefully on Saturday at the Champs Wellness Centre in La Romaine at 83.
His funeral Mass will take place at 10 am on Friday at St Theresa’s RC Church, Woodbrook.
Father Mohammed was born in Carapichaima and lived many years in St James.
He was ordained to the priesthood on September 25, 1960, by then Archbishop Finbar Ryan OP.
During his over 50 years of active service, he served in the parishes of Erin, Mt Lambert, Delaford (Tobago), Laventille/Morvant, Santa Rosa, Cedros, Penal and his last post at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, San Fernando.
Father Mohammed was secretary at Archbishop’s House before he was given a scholarship to study Catholic Communications in the United Kingdom.
He was also actively involved with the St Vincent de Paul Society as Spiritual Director.
