Cedros woman found dead behind neighbour's home

An autopsy is expected to be performed today as part of the investigation into the murder of 42-year-old Janelle Teeluck.

Teeluck, of Bouis Bourg Village, Cedros, was found dead yesterday morning behind her home.

There was a wound to her throat.

Police were told that around 7.30 pm on Wednesday, the victim was at a neighbour’s house during a power outage, when two men, dressed in what appeared to be tactical wear and armed with cutlasses, stormed the premises.

The men announced a hold up and relieved the persons of their valuables.

However, they grabbed Teeluck, and left with her.

The police were notified, however, that night due to the poor lighting conditions, Teeluck was not found.

Her body was discovered in the bushes behind her neighbour’s house early on Thursday morning.
