Central Bank to open Sunday to facilitate exchange of $100 bills

The Central Bank will be open on Sunday 22 December 2019, to accommodate the exchange of $100 paper notes to $100 polymer notes.

In a statement, the Central Bank said that in addition to the established working hours from 8 am to 3 pm on weekdays until December 31 (except on public holidays), the Central Bank will be open to the public from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday 22 December.

In Tobago, to complement the exchanges being provided by commercial banks on the island, and in collaboration with the Tobago House of Assembly, the Central Bank has advised that arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the exchange of $100 paper notes to $100 polymer notes in Tobago.

This will be facilitated at Unit Trust Corporation, Scarborough at the following dates and times:

8 am to 2:30 pm on Thursday 19 December and Friday 20 December

8 am to 2 pm on Saturday 21 December and Sunday 22 December

Documentation required for the exchange for individuals is valid identification, proof of address and evidence of source of funds. Companies are required to bring registration documents.
