Chaguanas mini mart thieves held
Two men are currently in police custody after they were held with a quantity of items reported stolen from a Chaguanas mini-mart last month.
The men were arrested Tuesday morning during a police exercise by officers of the Inter Agency Task Force and the Port of Spain Division.
The officers received key intelligence which led them to a home along Straker Village, Laventille, where a search warrant was executed in the presence of a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old man.
During the search the officers reportedly recovered several items which were reported stolen, including cellular phones and computer components.
As a result, the two men were immediately arrested.
They are said to be aiding officers with inquiries as they matched the descriptions of persons who have committed a string of robberies in the Chaguanas and Freeport districts.
As a result, they are expected to be handed over to officials in the Central Division on Tuesday, and placed on identification parades.
