The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) is informing of changes to services offered at the Licensing Offices that takes effect from Monday (June 8).

In a statement issued on Sunday, the MOWT said used car dealers will be exempted from the use of the existing appointment system.

Dealers are now required to utilise special arrangements made by the Transport Commissioner when visiting the Caroni, Wrightson Road and San Fernando Licensing Offices.

A specialised Access Card along with other pertinent information will be given to each dealer by the Transport Officers assigned to vehicle registration on their next visit.

However, the Ministry noted that non-dealers or individuals are required to continue to utilise the existing appointment system to register vehicles.

It said the service is usually completed on the same day and is offered on Friday's only.

An additional telephone booking hotline has also been added (612-2701).

This brings the total to three numbers: 612-2700/612-2701/612-2710.

The Ministry said all calls for appointments must be made between 8 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday. Alternately, customers can also utilise Online/ Internet Booking option via this link: https://www.picktime.com/licensingappointment

The Ministry said it will continue its schedule of services at all locations.

Persons conducting transactons at the Caroni, Port of Spain and San Fernando Licensing Offices are asked to be guided by the list of services and the dates of services listed in the tables below, which will be implemented until further notice.
