Children's Authority: Part of roof at head office blown off

The roof of an unoccupied building on the compound of the Children’s Authority head office has been damaged by adverse weather conditions.

That's according to a media release issued on Tuesday which noted that part of the roof was blown off.

A vehicle that was parked on the compound also sustained damage as a result of a fallen tree.

The authority further disclosed that its main building located on Wrightson Road, Port of Spain, was not affected.

As a precautionary measure, the staff was temporarily relocated from the site to facilitate an assessment of the damages on the compound, however, no identified risks to staff's health and safety were found.
