Children’s Authority: 12-year-old Summer found safe

Twelve-year-old Summer Leiba, missing since May, has been found.
The Children's Authority had pleaded for assistance in finding the girl on August 7. The press release said she was last seen in the Beetham Gardens and Sea Lots areas.
In a statement issued four days later, the Authority thanked the public for its assistance in locating the child adding that she is getting the help she needs.
"The Authority notes that the tremendous support from the publicwas instrumental in the child's quick recovery. The child is receiving the necessary assessments to determine the interventions and support that she will require."
Members of the public are also reminded that child protection is everyone’s business. Reports of abuse can be made to the Authority's hotline at 996 or the police at 999.

The Children’s Authority is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 12-year-old Summer Leiba.
According to the Authority, Leiba has been missing since May 3, 2020 and was last seen in the Beetham Gardens and Sea Lots areas.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is advised to immediately contact the Authority’s hotlines at 996, 800-2014 or the police at 999.
