Chinese businessman robbed at gunpoint in Diego Martin
Western Division police are investigating a report of a robbery against a Chinese national.
The victim, 31-year-old man, who operates a wholesale bar in Diego Martin, was robbed at gunpoint.
According to police reports, around 4:30 pm on Thursday, the victim was at his businessplace, when a man entered the premises and pulled out a firearm.
The assailant announced a hold up, and demanded that all the day’s proceedings be handed over.
The victim complied and handed over all the cash to the assailant – estimated to be $15,000.
The gunman then ordered the businessman to destroy the CCTV recordings of him, and fled the scene.
The police were later notified, and were given a description of the suspect.
A man hunt is currently be ongoing for the armed assailant.
