Classes resumed at three more schools post-Bret

Cleanup operations have been completed at three more schools affected by the passage of Tropical Storm Bret.

Classes resume today at Warrenville T.I.A. Primary School, North Oropouche R.C Primary School and North Oropouche Government  Primary Schools.

However, the inclement weather conditions recently experienced have delayed the completion of works at  the Mayo RC Primary School.

Work is expected to be completed today, while classes are scheduled to resume on Wednesday.

Emergency measures have been implemented to ensure classes are resumed at the Rousillac Hindu Primary School, which suffered damage to its roof and ceiling.

The Education Ministry said it continues to work assiduously to ensure that classes resume in all schools.

Education Minister Anthony Garcia thanked all the organisations involved in assisting with the necessary restoration, cleaning and sanitisation works to facilitate the resumption of classes.

These entities include the Regional Corporations, the Unemployment Relief Programme (URP), the Community Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP), the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services, the Health Ministry, and the Works and Transport Ministry.

The Minister also expressed his gratitude to parents, teachers, principals and members of the community for their contribution.
