Claxton Bay man in court for attempted murder of cousins
A 19-year-old Claxton Bay man was charged with the attempted murder of his own cousins on September 18, 2018.
According to a statement issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) issued Wednesday, 19-year-old Ravi Ramroop, of Hubert Joseph Trace, Claxton Bay, was arrested by officers of the St Margaret's Police Station on September 18 after investigations were launched into an incident which allegedly occurred on September 3, 2018.
Police said during that incident, Ramroop was alleged to have stabbed two male relatives during an altercation at a bar along Hermitage Road, Union Village, around 11:00 pm that night.
The victims were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment. The attacker ran away and escaped.
Police said Ramroop was charged by Sgt. Ishmael of the St Margaret's Police Station on September 18 in connection with the crime.
