Claxton Bay man shot dead
A 49-year-old man is dead following a shooting in Claxton Bay on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ronald Samuel of Teak Avenue, Claxton Bay.
According to police reports, around 8.15 pm, Samuel was at his home when he heard a man calling out to him from the roadway.
Samuel got up to investigate and when he was outside, other persons in the home heard two explosions.
They then observed an unknown individual fleeing the scene.
The police and emergency health services were notified, and Samuel was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital.
Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
