Concerns raised after brazen attack outside Chaguaramas fire station

Following a report that a fire officer was attacked in the carpark of the Chaguaramas Fire Station, members of the Fire Service Association are scheduled to have a meeting today to discuss security concerns at the facility.

The fire officer was allegedly attacked on Friday night in the carpark of the Chaguaramas Fire Station (music band section).

From initial reports, he was confronted by a masked man and assaulted, and while attempting to flee the scene, he fell and suffered further injuries to his face.

The alleged assailant then ran away and escaped. 

The executive of the Association, chaired by President Leo Ramkissoon, were due to meet to discuss on security arrangements at that facility on Monday.
