Construction workers' belongings stolen from container at work site

San Juan police are investigating a robbery at a construction site in Aranguez.

Over the last month, the Ministry of Works has engaged in a dredging project in the vicinity of Bridge Road, which runs behind the Savannah Villas, in a bid to limit flooding in the Aranguez and Mt Lambert communities.

To aid with this project, equipment and personal valuables for construction workers, were being housed in a 20 foot container near the river bank.

On Saturday evening, San Juan police received a report that container was broken into.

Several items – with initial estimates placed at over $10,000 – were taken.

One employee was also relieved of his salary and identification card.

Officers attached to San Juan police station were notified, and have been taking reports from workers.

Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to come forward.

They can contact the police at the San Juan police station, or they can give the information by dialing 555, 800-TIPS, or by texting 482-GARY, or utilizing the TTPS App.

More on this as it becomes available.
