A port authority worker is said to be aiding police with their inquiries into the reported theft of a container with cigarettes.
The container, which was reportedly imported from China, was stolen from the port in Port of Spain on Monday.
According to police reports, the container was cleared with the use of false documents, and then driven off the compound.
It was only discovered missing when the person who imported the cigarettes turned up at the port demanding his cargo be handed over to him.
