COP Gary Griffith shares a light moment with newly appointed ACP, Tobago, Sharon Blake-Clarke
Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith made his first official visit to all six police stations across the Tobago Division on Friday.
Commissioner Griffith visited the Scarborough Police Station where he was met by recently appointed ACP, Tobago, Sharon Blake-Clarke and other First Division Officers.
The CoP was taken on a tour of the Scarborough Station where he met with and spoke to police officers on duty. He discussed some of the existing challenges as well as achievements; and assured ACP Blake-Clarke that there will be a deeper, cohesive approach of policing to better serve the Tobago Division.
Commissioner Griffith next toured Charlotteville, Roxborough, Moriah, Old Grange and Crown Point police stations where he was appraised of the present operational capacities of each station. Additionally, he visited the Operational Centre and site of new Old Grange Police Station which is currently under construction.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service said this visit forms part of the new strategic, all-inclusive, intelligence-driven and proactive approach to policing under the leadership of Commissioner Griffith.
The visit also allowed the Commissioner to get a first-hand understanding of needs, concerns, and recommendations toward increasing safety in Tobago.
Friday’s visit is part of the Commissioner’s ongoing proactive effort to visit Police Divisions across the country.
