Cops to approach DPP in Felicity man's dump truck death

An autopsy is expected to be performed on Monday as investigations into the death of 34-year-old Parasram Gobin comes to a close.

Following this, officials are expected to approach Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard SC, for instructions on how to proceed against Gobin’s relative, who is said to be in custody aiding with inquiries.

Gobin was killed last Wednesday night along Lyle Lane, Felicity when he was crushed in a motor vehicle accident involving a dump truck which was being driven by a male relative.

This relative was administered a breathalyser test following the incident and reportedly gave a reading of 105 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit in this country is 35 microgrammes.

More on this as it becomes available.
