Cops arrest three, recover stolen items during anti-crime exercise

Police arrested three people and recovered a quantity of stolen items during a police exercise on Friday.

Officers conducted the exercise between 10 am and 8 pm in the Morvant and Chaguanas districts.

During the exercise, officers executed several search warrants at various locations which resulted in the recovery of items such as cellular phones, gaming consoles and laptops, which were reported stolen in the Four Roads district.

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the recovery; a 36-year-old of Chaguanas, a 35-year-old and a 20-year-old, both of Morvant.

Investigations are ongoing.

The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt (Ag) Thompson of the Western Division and also included officers of the Western Division Task Force and North Eastern Division Task Force.
