Three people have been arrested in connection with a large cocaine find in St Helena on Saturday.
According to reports, officers of the Northern Division Task Force (NDTF) Central during an anti-crime exercise in St. Helena on Saturday received information and intercepted two vehicles suspected of transporting narcotics.
The officers stopped and searched a white Mitsubishi Sportero and a black Nissan B13 and discovered two suitcases containing a total of 23 packets of cocaine, weighing 20 kilogrammes.
Two men from Piarco and one man from Gasparillo were arrested.
The Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit (OCIU) said the narcotics has an estimated value of $8 million.
The exercise was conducted by Sgt Pitt and officers of the Northern Division Task Force.
Investigations are continuing.
