Cops raid Morvant house, seize guns

A 24-year-old man is in custody after two semi-automatic pistols were found in his house on Tuesday.

The suspect was held during a police exercise along Pitch Road, Morvant.

According to reports, around 11 am on Tuesday, officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force, acting on intelligence received, executed a search warrant at the aforementioned address in the presence of the suspect.

The search netted one Glock pistol, one Taurus Pistol, four rounds of 9mm ammunition, and two rounds of .45mm ammunition.

The suspect was immediately arrested as a result of the find.

The exercise was supervised by Snr Sup Phillip and ASP Alexander.

Operations were conducted by Sgt Martin, Cpl Daniel, and PC McNight, among others.
