Cops recover stolen car after car left idling for 30 minutes

Police said a car which was stolen after the driver left it idling for approximately 30 minutes, was recovered in Arima. 

In an update on Thursday, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said that the driver of the car left it idling in front of her Sangre Grande home but when she returned to it about 30 minutes later it was gone.

The incident happened between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm on September 12. 

After discovering that the car was missing, the victim filed a report to the Sangre Grande Police Station.

Police said they then launched a search and the car, a Nissan Silphy, was later found abandoned at Pinto Road, Arima. 

 

The car was then taken to the Arima Police Station for processing.

Investigations are continuing.
