Cops recover stolen vehicle in Diego Martin

A vehicle which was stolen at gunpoint on Tuesday night has been recovered.

The vehicle was seized by officers of the Western Division Task Force during a police exercise on Thursday.

The exercise was led by PC McClean, PC Genty, PC Ward, PC Bart, with assistance from PC Morris from the West End CID.

According to reports, at about 10:45 pm on Tuesday, the victim, who resides on Factory Road, was held up at gunpoint at Roxborough Street, Diego Martin by three masked men.

His vehicle, a Nissan AD Station Wagon, was stolen.

A report was made to the police, and at about 5:35 pm yesterday, police received intelligence that the vehicle had been seen along Upper Cemetery Street, Diego Martin.

The proceeded to the location and found the vehicle. The car was still intact and bearing the original license plates.

The vehicle was subsequently taken to the West End Police Station where it is expected to be examined by crime scene investigators for workable fingerprints.

PC Morris is continuing inquiries.
