Cops save teen girl’s life

Tunapuna officers are being praised for their swift work in rendering aid to a 15-year-old who had to be rushed to the hospital.

It is believed that their timely response saved the teenager's life.

At about 5.40 pm on Wednesday, officers of the Tunapuna C.I.D. were on patrol in the community when upon reaching the vicinity of Fairley Street, they were flagged down by a man.

The man told the officers that his daughter had collapsed and was unconscious.

The officers immediately responded and rushed the teenager to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where the girl was treated.

Up to this morning, she was said to still be warded in a serious condition.

Police said that they had been informed that the 15-year-old girl may have suffered a heart attack, but she is still being medically examined to determine officially what happened to her.
