Cops seize firearm, arrest three in Laventille
Two days after police came under fire by unknown assailants in Laventille, police have arrested three persons who are allegedly affiliated with the “Rasta City” Gang.
The three men, said to be from the Chaguanas area, were arrested around 12:30 am Saturday morning by John John traffic lights, Laventille.
According to police reports, officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force were conducting mobile patrols in the area when they had cause to intercept a Nissan motor vehicle.
The car was searched and the officers allegedly found and seized a .38 revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition.
As a result of the find, the three suspects, said to be between the ages of 17 and 32, were all arrested.

At 11:30 pm on Wednesday, police officers on foot patrol in the Calvary Hill, Laventille, area, came under fire by unknown assailants.
No injuries were reported.
