Couple survives shooting in Malick

A man and a woman are said to still be warded in a stable condition at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex following a shooting incident on Saturday.

The couple were said to be in the front yard of their home along Upper Sixth Avenue, Malick when a vehicle pulled up on the roadway.

Several loud explosions were heard and the vehicle sped away.

In the aftermath, the woman was said to have suffered gunshot injuries to her hand and buttocks while the man was said to have suffered injuries to his abdomen.

Both injured parties were rushed to the medical complex in Mt Hope where they were treated.

They are said to still be warded up to this morning.

Due to the sensitive stage of injuries, the names of the victims are being withheld.
