COVID-19: 3,122 samples sent for testing, cases still stand at 116

Updated:

As of Friday night, 3,122 samples have been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI site for COVID-19 testing.

That’s according to the Ministry of Health’s 10 pm clinical update.

The number of samples tested positive remains at 116; 108 have recovered while eight have died.

The Ministry is further reminding the public that COVID-19 can be spread by touching surfaces that are contaminated with the novel coronavirus.

It is important to regularly sanitise commonly touched surfaces example table tops, handrails, doorknobs and trolleys. If dirty, they should be cleaned using a detergent or soap and water prior to sanitization.
