COVID-19 deaths climb to 108, 24 new cases reported

Another COVID-19 death has been recorded in Trinidad and Tobago, pushing the number of fatalities to 108.

Twenty-four new positive cases have also been recorded, six are persons who were recently repatriated.

In its 4pm update on Saturday, the Ministry of Health indicated a total of 33,083 people have been tested for COVID-19.

To date, 5,692 positive cases have been recorded.

There are currently 974 active positive cases.

A total of 4,610 patients have recovered from the virus.

Sixty-four patients are hospitalised.

There are 33 patients in step-down facilities, 140 patients in state quarantine facilities and 877 people in home self-isolation.
