Update: 27 more test positive for COVID-19

The Ministry of Health has revealed that another 27 people have tested positive for COVID-19. This brings today's case total to 35.

No new deaths or recovered cases were announced in this update.

The Ministry of Health has advised that eight people have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus since yesterday’s last update. 

Nine patients who were warded in the public health system with the virus have recovered and will be allowed to go home. Another 54 community cases, who managed with the virus at home have recovered. 

As it stands, Trinidad and Tobago has 2,030 active cases of COVID-19 bringing a total of 4,285 cases. 

A total of 30,544 samples have been submitted for testing, with 27,481 representing unique patient tests. 

Hospitals throughout the country are managing 101 COVID-19 cases, while 111 are in step-down facilities.
