CPL int'l viewers get teaser of Destination Trinidad in new commercial

Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) has launched a 60-second Destination Trinidad commercial which captures the essence of the island’s sports, events, and conferences/meetings tourism offerings.
The 60-second television commercial, a part of Trinidad’s Tourism Recovery Plan to get the sector back on its feet features beautiful shots of the island in a way that showcases Trinidad’s energy.

The commercial is being aired for the first time during the international broadcast of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 Cricket tournament currently being hosted in Trinidad and Tobago.
The event is being broadcast live stream and television and provides a platform for generating brand awareness and connecting with global audiences in the UK, North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, India Sub-Continent and Pan Caribbean.
Branded perimeter boards, pitch markings, and banners have also been installed by Tourism Trinidad at the cricket venues. Further, destination fun facts and other video communication pieces have been shared with CPL’s online channels.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Trinidad Limited, Heidi Alert, explained the rationale behind the new commercial.
She said: “The 60-second television commercial aims to inspire travellers to dream of Destination Trinidad even as we all battle the COVID-19 pandemic globally. It is crucial to keep our audiences inspired and informed so that the destination remain top of mind.
In the crowded marketplace where many other competing destinations are vying for the attention of the traveller, Trinidad must remain on the forefront and continue to disseminate captivating, real-life, and authentic content.”
Alert said this was an opportunity to highlight Trinidad’s “rich bounty of tourism assets” that are often overlooked by its own inhabitants.
She added: “We must all be proud of where we live and appreciate what makes our country unique. I encourage everyone to view our destination television commercial on our social pages and feel free to share it amongst your friends and family”.
Tourism Trinidad is in the final stages in the rollout of its Industry Health & Safety Manual for Post COVID-19 based on other regional and international public health protocols.
Alert said these guidelines and protocols will assist in restoring global confidence in destination Trinidad and ensure the health, safety and well-being of our citizens and visitors.
