'Crime boss' gunned down in Tobago

Tobago has recorded its fifth murder.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Alvion Nurse, also known as 'Crime Boss', of Franklyn Road, Les Coteaux.

Police said he was a priority offender.

According to reports, around 7.30 am officers were on mobile patrol along Providence Road, Gru Gru Patch, Les Coteaux, when they observed blood stains on a bridge.

They exited the vehicle and observed the deceased lying motionless on the roadway with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the right cheek.

A district medical officer visited the scene and made a pronouncement.

The scene was also visited by ACP Vernon Roberts, Snr. Supt. Sterling Roberts, Supt. Powder, Insp. Campbell along with CSI and homicide officers.

The body was taken to the Scarborough Mortuary.

Investigations are continuing.
