Cuba delegation to attend Trade and Investment Convention 2018
A Cuban trade delegation, headed by Rubén Ramos, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, will attend the Trade and Investment Convention 2018 (TIC).
The delegation comprises representatives from 19 Cuban companies and about 30 officials, and covers sectors such as the food and beverage industry, biotechnology, chemical, sugar production, construction, public health, tourism, culture, science and technology, telecommunications, and household consumer goods.
The Cuban Mission will have a permanent booth at the Convention.
The Cuban delegation is expected to expand economic and commercial ties with Trinidad and Tobago, the most important trade partner in the Caribbean region and one of the top in the whole of Latin America, in terms of trade exchange with Cuba.
The visit programme includes meetings with government authorities and private companies, thus enabling a new possibility of commercial and business exchange.
The Cuban Mission in collaboration with Exportt, is organising a Seminar “Cuba: New Business Opportunities”, which will serve as a framework for the launch in Trinidad and Tobago of the new portfolio of foreign investment opportunities and the exportable offer of the different Cuban items.
The presentation includes a special session on the Cuban biotechnology sector, exposing its advances and results. The event will also be a favorable space to invite all businessmen present to the XXXVI Edition of the International Fair of Havana, the main commercial event for business on the island.
