Curepe stabbing leads to fourth murder for 2019

A 23-year-old man became the fourth murder victim for 2019 following an argument in Curepe on Wednesday night.

According to police reports, around 9:30 pm Keenan Smith entered a yard at the corner of Bushe and Woodford Streets when he got into an argument with two teenagers, ages 16 and 17.

Smith allegedly picked up a stone and threw it at the teens, one of whom allegedly went into his home and returned with a knife.

Smith was then stabbed multiple times and collapsed a short distance away, where he died.

The two suspects were arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are investigating.
