Danah Alleyne mourns boyfriend, Keone

Danah Alleyne, the woman who was held hostage by her boyfriend on Friday, is now mourning his death.

In a Facebook post showing an image of 34-year-old Keone Paryag supposedly in a church, she captioned it, "You are going to your maker now my love ❤️🙏🏼Keone Paryag".

Paryag was killed by police after he, armed with a weapon, prevented Alleyne and her mother from leaving her Chaguanas home.

An autopsy conducted on Monday revealed he died as a result of haemorrhaging after being shot twice to the left leg.

According to sources, Paryag was taken to the Chaguanas District Health Facility for gunshot wounds following the incident however, doctors could not perform surgery because he was under the influence of an unknown drug. Officers revisited his home and found a quantity of ecstasy.

A toxicology report has since been ordered to determine if he had consumed any other drug.

Around 6 pm on October 18, 2019, officers received a report of a hostage situation at Biljah Road, Chaguanas. On arrival, they encountered a gun-holding Paryag who refused to drop his weapon. He was eventually shot.

Crime Watch Host Ian Alleyne was also at the scene and was captured in a video whipping out a handgun in an attempt to reach his relatives.

The Police Complaints Authority has since launched an investigation.

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Gary Griffith has reportedly raised concerns as to why Alleyne was at the scene.
