Devant Maharaj slams Gov't for abandoning Dr Morgan Job
Former Government Minister Devant Maharaj is offering condolences to the family of Dr Morgan Job who succumbed to last stage pancreatic cancer on Sunday.
In an email sent to members of the media, Maharaj noted that Job was his friend who he knew for years.
“Morgan Job was my friend and I knew him for years. We didn't always agree but that sharing of different perspectives is what made our friendship.”
Maharaj took the opportunity to scold the government for failing to contribute to Job’s medical expenses having done so for Maxie Cuffie.
“Only on Friday in my letter to the Integrity Commission regarding the medical expenses for Maxie Cuffie I pointed out that the Government has shown no similar compassion and humanity for Morgan Job.”
“Had the Government expended a similar amount of funds for Morgan's medical expenses he may have been alive today.”
“Maxie's luck was clearly not Morgan's luck,” the statement ended.
