Digicel expands Home and Entertainment offering
Digicel is taking things up a notch as it expands its Home and Entertainment offering to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
On July 8, Digicel launched its Modern Fibre plan which empowers customers to customise their home and entertainment experience by allowing them to select an internet broadband package with their preferred speed and then pick the TV channels they want based on their individual preference.
Speaking at the launch, Navin Balkissoon, Head of Digicel Home and Entertainment asked: “Why pay for channels you never want to watch?
“Entertainment and how we consume it are both rapidly evolving, and at Digicel, we understand this. With the rise of alternative and on-demand methods of watching television and the increasing popularity of streaming devices, we have noted that our customers’ needs have also evolved. Many customers simply want fast and reliable high-speed broadband internet alongside their favourite TV stations instead of an exhaustive channel guide. Modern Fibre provides this solution."
Digicel Modern Fibre offers four tiers of internet speed: 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 250 Mbps and 350 Mbps, and gives subscribers a free TV Box with 26 complimentary channels.
Customers then have the power to customise their TV experience by purchasing the channels they want to watch from an extensive TV Add-On catalogue.
The catalogue offers various channel packs grouped by genre from as low as $29 per month. Some of the options are Kids Plus with 13 channels, Sports Pack with 7 channels, Music Pack with 54 channels and Movies Plus with 22 channels.
