Digicel promises Carnival celebrations will be high energy and high-tech for 2018 as brings its d’Music and PlayGo apps to the party, now with Tribe ‘FanView’ videos, making the festival a high-spirited digital experience for all revellers.

Now in its 12th year of partnership, Digicel and TRIBE Carnival will offer exclusive content for mobile customers to catch all the excitement through FanView – a series of behind-the-scenes videos that capture rarely seen carnival action that will be played exclusively via the PayGo app. Making the app available to anyone with a smartphone means every mobile user in Trinidad and Tobago will be able to get in on the action.

“As a fun-loving supporter of Trinbagonian talent and culture, we are thrilled to be part of Carnival this year. We love the excitement, talent, dancing and getting together with everyone in the streets as we dance to the beat of our local artistes,” said John Delves, CEO of Digicel T&T.

In addition to exclusive content, subscribers to Digicel’s d’Music streaming app will gain access to exclusive music content, this time from brand ambassador Machel Montano, also known as “Dr. Fete”. Machel will drop his new beats for 2018 through the d’Music app for Digicel customers to download. There will also be opportunities for every Digicel customer to win event tickets, Tribe costumes, Snapchat spectacles and tickets to Machel Mondays.

“Nowadays, everybody wants to play mas while they keep abreast of the excitement taking place around them and elsewhere. Only a truly digital connection can make it happen and we are very excited to be able to use these apps to deliver this amazing experience to our customers,” Delves said.

This year, Tribe masqueraders will also access LTE plans to stay connected on the road, as well as handset offers and affordable roaming packages.

"We’re looking forward to meeting every Digicel customer on the road and we don’t want anyone to miss out on Carnival this year. If you’re here, you’ll see it live. If not, you can catch all the action live via the PlayGo app, Digicel social media and via our Home and Entertainment service,” Delves added.
