Prayers for Dil-e-Nadan's Rennie Ramnarine after accident

Dil-E-Nadan lead singer Raymond Ramnarine is asking for prayers and support from fans after his brother, guitarist Rennie Ramnarine, was involved in an accident on Saturday night.

The band had just performed at a wedding in Santa Cruz when the horrific accident occurred. Ramnarine said however that the accident was not due in any way to the actions of the promoters.

Ramnarine said he watched in shock as a car hit his brother, dragging him a short distance.

“Last night was a bitter sweet night for us. Just after performing at a wedding and having the time of our lives , we were leaving to head home when an unfortunate incident occurred. My brother Rennie was knocked down and dragged from a vehicle that was transporting guest from the wedding. I was lucky because it missed me by inches."

"The image can't seem to go away from my mind. My entire band was there till this morning at the hospital lending support and prayers," he said.

Ramnarine said his family and close friends are rallying around his brother, who is being treated at hospital, hoping and praying that he will recover quickly.

"We await CT scan and info from the doctors. Please keep him in your prayers. From my family we thank u all for the outpouring love and support. I know my brother and he will get through this. You can't take down a RAMNARINE so easy. We have too much faith in God. Love you DENation.”

On Monday Ramnarine posted another emotional statement expressing his love for his brother, who is a father of two.

"You better get well fast big brother cause I'm missing you. You didn't deserve this. Please His grant him strength and courage to overcome. I will be by your side Rennie. Please get better. Thanks to everyone for the outpouring love and support. With our prayers ...... with the entire DENation universe rallying behind him I know he will recover fast. I love u Ren."
